The government has set up a Coordinating Council to ensure information security. It will be a collective body, with consultative and operational attributions, without legal personality, informs Moldova 1.

The purpose of this entity is to establish the level of danger on information security and to propose actions to solve the detected problems. The activity of the council will be focused on four segments: cybernetic, operational, media and civic-private security. The initiative is part of the Information Security Strategy of the Republic of Moldova for the years 2019-2024.
 
"The activity of the council is concentrated on four levels, with distinct attributions. The cyber level, the operational level, especially focused on subversive mixes and cyber attacks, the media level, which will analyse the factors affecting the structure and content of the media, the civic-private level, which will examine the stimulation of innovations in the information society and cybersecurity. explained the Minister of Economy, Sergiu Gaibu.
