UPDATE 15:46 The bomb alert at the Chisinau District Court in Buiucani headquaters was false. No explosive objects or substances were found following the police checks. The officers of the crime investigation and criminal investigation section of IP Buiucani ordered several actions in order to identify the perpetrator.
At the same time, law enforcement has initiated a criminal case for knowingly lying about the act of terrorism. The person guilty of the crime risks a fine of up to 42,500 lei or unpaid community service from 180 to 240 hours, or imprisonment for up to 2 years.
INITIAL NEWS: A new bomb alert at the Chisinau Court, Buiucani headquarters. All employees and citizens who were currently inside the building were evacuated. According to the police, around 13:50, the Buiucani Police Inspectorate was notified that an explosive object was located inside the Chisinau Court, Buiucani headquarters. The call to the 112 service was made by a man.
All specialised services went to the scene. Law enforcement immediately surrounded the area and evacuated all employees from the building.
At the same time, the employees of the technical-explosive department were requested on the spot to check the building.
