The number of COVID-19 cases is increasing. More than a thousand people have contracted the virus in the past seven days
The number of COVID-19 cases is increasing. The Ministry of Health reports 1,014 cases of infection with the new coronavirus in the last seven days, after performing 17,197 tests. Meanwhile, three people lost their lives.
TRM.MD recalls that, recently, the health authorities announced that the number of children with COVID-19 doubled last week. An outbreak of COVID-19 was registered at a refugee centre in the Botanica sector of the capital. 12 Ukrainian children with COVID-19 who were accommodated in this centre were hospitalised at the Contagious Diseases Hospital. The announcement was made by Boris Gîlcă, the head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance, during the operative meeting of the municipal services.
At the same time, at the Municipal Maternity Hospital no. 2 the number of pregnant patients with coronavirus increased: 9 women were tested with COVID. At the same time, two sections for patients with COVID were activated at the Municipal Clinical Hospital for Infectious Diseases for Children.
