Lithuania and Serbia complete the list of countries that accept the automatic extension of the validity of passports of citizens of the Republic of Moldova. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI).

Passports with an extended validity period can only be used in states that have confirmed this. Passports with extended validity can be used only in states that have confirmed the recognition of the decision of the Moldovan authorities - Latvia; State of Israel; The Russian Federation; Armenia; Estonia; Azerbaijan; Croatia; Ireland; Ukraine; Lithuania; Serbia.

"The Estonian competent authorities have notified that, for technical reasons, for citizens using passports whose validity date has expired, the border inspection procedure may take longer than usual," says the MFAEI.

Diplomatic and consular missions shall continue to take the necessary steps to obtain their agreement for the operationalization of the decision of the Commission for Exceptional Situations.
