Bronze medals for the Republic of Moldova during the Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad
The Moldovan team won five bronze medals at the Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from June 28 to July 3, 2022.
The bronze medals were obtained by Laura Şestacov and Bianca Iordachi, students at the Theoretical Lyceum "Orizont" in Chisinau; Alin Popescu, student at Gribova Gymnasium, Drochia; Robert Barbuţa, student at the "Mihai Eminescu" Theoretical Lyceum in Chisinau and Marius Cerlat, student at the "Spiru Haret" Theoretical Lyceum in Chisinau.
107 students from 18 countries participated in the Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad , the Republic of Moldova being represented by six students and two teachers.
In this context, the Ministry of Education and Research and the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation congratulate the Olympic students, teachers and their parents, wishing them further success.
