The Republic of Moldova benefits from international expertise to improve the land administration system

The Republic of Moldova benefits from international expertise in order to improve the quality of the land administration system and the evaluation of real estate in the country, but also to increase the transparency of the property taxation system. Thus, as part of the Project, consultations were held with international experts about the current methods of revaluation of assets by local and central public authorities, informs Moldova 1 TV.

"The first stage, within the project, will be implemented within the local public authorities, namely the real estate assessment model - apartments. It is an action that will give us the opportunity to have a reality of the real values related to the real estate market", said ARFC deputy director, Ştefan Crigan.

During the consultations, an evaluation model was presented, in accordance with current standards.

"At the moment, we are present with cadastral works in approximately 500 rural localities, where real estate measurements are made on private property. At the end of the project, all those in the public sector will have ample information about the assets they have", said the head of the ASP cadastre department, Angela Matcov.

The revaluation will be carried out by international experts who mention that the practice accumulated at the international level will allow the objective establishment of the property's value on the domestic market.

"In developing the model, we rely on the best international practices to ensure the notion of quality control, so that the respective model produces valid data. Our intentions as experts is to improve the expertise model", said the international consultant, Paul Bidanset.

The Land Registration and Evaluation Project is implemented until 2024, based on the financing agreement signed between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the International Development Association and has a budget of 23 million euros.
