The former director of the National Philharmonic, Mihail Murzac, passed away

The former director of the National Philharmonic and ex-vice minister of Culture, Mihail Murzac, passed away. The announcement was made by Andrei Locoman, the general director of the National Palace.

He wrote on a social network that Mihail Murzac was a perfect professional, but also a good friend of artists.

"All those who had the great fortune to work with him, to listen to his advice, will remember those moments with sadness and regret, reiterating that he was like a father to them, that he gave them real life lessons, of humanity and decency. All this during more than 50 years, while he held important positions in cultural institutions", Andrei Locoman's message said.

Mihail Murzac contributed to the organisation and smooth running of many large-scale events, such as the International Music Festival "Mărţişor", the International Festival of Opera and Ballet Stars "Invită Maria Biesu", the Festival of Creation and Interpretation of Romance "Silver chrysanthemum".
