Doctoral students will receive larger scholarships from October 1

Starting from October 1, 2022, doctoral students will receive increased scholarships. A decision to this effect was approved by the Executive. Thus, scholarships for first-year doctoral students will be 1,430 lei, instead of 1,330 lei, and for second-year students - 1,570 lei. At the same time, 200 lei will increase the scholarships of third year students. They will receive 1,720 lei monthly.

Also, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Admission Plan for higher doctoral studies for the academic year 2022-2023. It provides for 254 doctoral grants financed from the state budget, distributed among six scientific fields, as follows: Natural Sciences - 17 grants, Engineering Sciences and Technologies - 27, Medical Sciences - 70, Agricultural Sciences - 12, Social Sciences and economics - 86 and humanities - 42.

Of these, 7 doctoral grants will be offered to foreign citizens, based on the international treaties to which the Republic of Moldova is a party.
