A batch of medical equipment was donated to the Republic of Moldova by Israel
A lot of medical equipment was donated to the Republic of Moldova today by Israel. Humanitarian aid will be sent to medical institutions in the country, which provide medical assistance to refugees from Ukraine, Moldova 1 reports.
"We came up with a donation of about $1 million. The donated lot includes medical equipment for diagnostics and operating rooms. This is the first tranche of equipment, the second is to arrive soon. The aid is provided by the Israeli state for both refugees and citizens of the Republic of Moldova. We have very good communication with the Chisinau authorities and we assure you that we will continue to provide all the necessary support," said the Israeli Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Joe Lyon.
"The lot is medical equipment. There are diagnostic equipment first of all, but also for operating rooms that will be distributed. Already this lot by an order of the ministry are distributed in the medical institutions in the country, we are talking about institutions that provide medical assistance to refugees from Ukraine," said the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Ion Prisacaru.
The cost of humanitarian aid provided by the state of Israel is $700,000.
