Victor Ciobanu: The recruitment in the Russian armed forces of the inhabitants of the left side of the Nistru with Russian citizenship is unlikely
The recruitment in the Russian armed forces of the inhabitants of the left side of the Nistru with Russian citizenship is unlikely, because they physically could not reach the Russian Federation, expert Victor Ciobanu mentioned in a special show on Radio Moldova.
According to him, more and more residents of the Transnistrian region are applying, lately, for the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova.
"Those from the Transnistrian region will not be recruited, because they physically cannot reach the Russian Federation. Secondly, a few months ago when the challenges in the Transnistrian region began, I saw a queue at the border with the Republic of Moldova of men from the Transnistrian region who immediately oriented themselves and chose the Moldovan passport", mentioned Victor Ciobanu.
We remind that Moldovan citizens located on the territory of the Russian Federation cannot be enlisted in the Russian army, because Russia does not accept dual citizenship.
