Irina Rîngaci won the gold medal at the Bulgarian tournament

Fighter Irina Rîngaci won the gold medal at the "Dan Kolov & Nikola Petrov" international tournament, held in Bulgaria.

According to the National Olympic and Sports Committee of the Republic of Moldova, the athlete won the 68 kg weight category, after defeating the Frenchwoman Pauline Lecarpentier in the final.

TRM.MD recalls that in 2021, Irina Rîngaci won two gold medals in the 65 kg women's event: at the World Championships in Oslo, and at the European Championships in Warsaw. She is the first world champion in wrestling in the history of the Republic of Moldova.
