The Republic of Moldova wins three medals at the European Youth Championship
Three Moldovan boxers won medals at the European Youth Championship, which took place in Sofia. Boxer Ianuş Caravan became European runner-up among the youth. He scored three victories in the 63.5 kg weight class, with the Swiss Simon Meyer, the Greek Kosturos Panagia and the Latvian Renat Sarovs, being defeated in the final by the Georgian Demur Karadjaya.
Another boxer from Tiraspol, Nicolai Burduja, won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Sofia, writes olympic.md.
Ilie Argatu from Comrat also climbed the third step of the award podium. He evolved in the 51 kg weight category.
