Zimbru Chisinau retains its place in the first value echelon of Moldovan football

Zimbru Chisinau kept its place in the first echelon of value of Moldovan football. The most titled club in the capital has won the relegation / promotion dam with the Selemet Spartans and will play in the Super-League next season, as the current National Football Division will be called, Moldova 1 reports.

Zimbru Chisinau struggled last night with the second division team, Spartanii Selemet, but, in the end, they won the game played on neutral ground, in Hincesti. The "yellow-greens" won with a score of 1: 0. The only goal was scored by Cape Verdean Olavio Gomeş in the 18th minute of the first half.

"Yes! It ended well. Ever since I started coaching Zimbru, I haven't even thought about seeing the team in Division A. Unfortunately, we have reached the last match, but in the end the goal has been reached, and Zimbru remains in the National Division," says coach Zimbru Chisinau, Michele Bon.

"Many were saying that we will 'give' the match, that we will be beaten because we are a typical Division A team. Basically, we have shown that we are no less good than Zimbru," said Spartan coach Selemet Ion Cvasnitschi.

Therefore, Zimbru Chisinau will play for the 32nd season in the first value echelon of Moldovan football, which from the next season will be called "Super-League". The team from the capital remains the only participant in all the championship editions of the first division of the Republic of Moldova.

On the other hand, the Selemet Spartans will continue to play in League 1, the second echelon of value in local football.
