Moldovan citizens settled in Greece will benefit from pensions

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are settled in Greece will benefit from old-age pensions, survivors' pensions, disability pensions due to ordinary illnesses, pensions and disability benefits caused by work accidents regardless of their current residency. Radio Moldova reports.

According to the National Social Insurance House, the Moldovan and Greek authorities started negotiations on the Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and Greece.

Under the document, when determining the right to retirement, each state will apply the national legislation in this field.

At present, the Republic of Moldova implements 12 bilateral agreements in the field of social security with Romania, Portugal, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Austria, Estonia, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Lithuania and starting with  March 1 with Germany.
