Industrial output on a rise in 2018

In December 2018, the industrial output increased by 1.6% against the same period of the previous year. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, during the reporting period, the highest production increases occurred in the extractive industry by 23%, Moldova 1 TV reports.

Last year, the industrial production was up by 4%, with 11% rise of the extractive industry, 3.6% of the processing industry and 8.2% in production and supply of electric and thermal energy, gas, hot water and air conditioning.

In the production and supply of electric and thermal energy, gas, hot water and air conditioning, the increases were over 16%.

Also, there was a decrease of 3.3% in the processing industry.
