The US offers to Moldova a million US dollars in the fight with COVID-19
As part of the US long-term commitment to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, the US Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide Moldova $1.2 million in medical care, reads a statement issued by the US Embassy in our country.
The money offered will be directed towards preparing laboratories, accelerating the identification and monitoring disease cases, strengthening the technical capacity of the specialists to respond to the challenge, increasing the communication about the existing risks, and others.
The support for combating COVID-19 is added to the assistance of $42 million offered by the US in the field of medicine and to the total assistance of over one billion dollars granted to the Republic of Moldova in the last 20 years.
