Tezaur: Camenca carpet, paradise of flowers and trees

Moldova 1 invites you to watch on Sunday, January 17, a new edition of the show "Tezaur" (Treasure), with Irina Ropot. In the cultural space in the North-East of the Republic of Moldova, on both banks of the Dniester River, in the Camenca area, a treasure trove of original motifs and ornamental compositions woven on carpets, quilts is spread. To find out more about the village-specific carpets near the town of Camenca on the left bank of the Dniester, watch the public television station.

The carpets in the Camenca area differ from those in other areas because specific techniques are applied here, preserved only through these places, co-located by Ukrainians. Together with Varvara Buzilă, scientific consultant of the show "TezAur", scientific secretary-coordinator of the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History we come with new discoveries and decipherment of ornaments woven on the barks of Camenca.

The filming was based on the exhibition "Camenca carpet, paradise of flowers and trees" at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History.

The show is made by journalist Irina Ropot and can be watched on Sunday, January 17, on Moldova 1 or on TRM.MD website, starting at 14:30.
