Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration will meet with the so-called Foreign Minister of the Transnistrian region

Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Alexandru Flenchea, will meet today with the so-called Foreign Minister of the Transnistrian region, Vitali Ignatiev. The sides will address again the issue of signing a protocol based on the results of the 5 + 2 negotiations in Bratislava, from October this year. This was announced today by Alexandru Flenchea, in a press conference.

The topics on the agenda are aimed at boosting confidence building measures on both banks of the Nistru, the return of a lyceum with teaching in Romanian from Tiraspol, which was seized by the so called Transnistrian authorities and other issues.

Also, the Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration announced a new meeting of the CUC that includes a round of consultations involving representatives of Ukraine and the OSCE mission in our country.

According to the Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister, the decision was taken after the representatives of Tiraspol refused to discuss the proposal to verify and analyze the situation in the Security Zone.
