About 130 students are infected with COVID-19

A number of 129 students from primary and secondary schools in the capital are infected with the new type of Coronavirus, and over 2,000 are in self-isolation. These are the official data presented today during the operative meeting of the City Hall services by the deputy mayor Angela Cutasevici, Radio Moldova reports.

"There are 129 students confirmed positively, and 2,060 students in self-isolation. Positively tested teachers - 94, in self-isolation - 52. Positively confirmed non-teachers are 16 and eight are in self-isolation. In primary and secondary schools, there are quarantined students from 97 classes, including eight private ones. 1,886 students continued their online lessons, and now they are all on vacation. Last week, 207 classes from 78 institutions returned from quarantine," said Angela Cutasevici.

With reference to early education institutions, this is a case of a child, in self-isolation there are 130 children. Teachers are 25 confirmed positive, in self-isolation are eight. Children from three early childhood institutions in four groups were placed in self-isolation.
