Two National Army soldiers beaten by their own comrades

Two soldiers from the 2nd Army Battalion were beaten with feet by their own comrades. It happened today on Vasile Lupu Street in the capital, the case being caught by a filming crew of Moldova 1. After being informed about what happened, the Ministry of Defense announced that an investigation commission was set up to clarify the circumstances, reports Moldova 1.

The soldiers who fought their colleagues justified their act, saying they tried to keep them from escaping from the army.

Requested to comment on the case, Defense Ministry press officer Ala Diaconu said the circumstances of this incident would be studied by an investigation commission.

Promo-LEX lawyer Vadim Vieru claims that such cases are proof of the fact that there is harassment in the National Army.

Last year, for torture, the tribunals handed down four sentencing sentences, with conditional suspension of the execution of the penalty on certain terms, in respect of 5 soldiers. At the end of last year, there were two criminal cases involving two people.
