Over 7,360 Moldovans receive the COVID vaccine
To date, 7,367 people from healthcare institutions received COVID vaccine in Moldova and 271 post-immunization adverse events have been registered in the electronic system. These refer to mild reactions, symptoms that indicate that the body's immune response is adequate. This was announced by the epidemiologist from the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP), Laura Ţurcan in a press conference, Radio Moldova reports.
"All post-vaccination events were evaluated, first by epidemiologists and then by the Commission for the Classification of Post-Immunization Events at the national level. All are included in the category of mild and moderate reactions, having sensitivity at the injection site with some edema, fatigue, weakness, headache, muscle and / or joint pain and people with fever", said the epidemiologist Laura Ţurcan.
In this context, Laura Ţurcan wanted to mention that fever is a normal thing after the administration of any vaccine and should not worry either the population or the healthcare workers. According to her, other more serious post-vaccine reactions have not been reported so far.
