Three Moldovans killed in road accident in Vinita, Ukraine

Three citizens of the Republic of Moldova died and another four suffered different traumas as a result of an accident that involved a minibus with 12 passages aboard near Vinnitsa region of Ukraine last night. It is not yet known if the minibus traveled from or to Moldova, IPN reports.

Update (10:15am) Pictures of the scene posted by the portal vn.20minut.ua show the minibus with a registration number of Ungheni crashed into a truck parked by the roadside. The minibus driver is 28. The victims of the accident are a woman aged 26 and a 43-year-old man, while the third person hasn’t been yet identified. Four persons aged between 24 and 58 were hospitalized.

Update (9:55am) The minibus was heading from Moldova to the Russian Federation. The accident occurred at about 3:00am.

The General Inspectorate for Emergencies said a crisis cell was created to monitor the situation and to help the Moldovan citizens who were wounded. The cell will take decisions as to the transportation of the victims home, will coordinate the procedures and will make the documents needed for conveying the bodies.

The Inspectorate launched the hotline 022785032 that the relatives and close persons of those hurt can use to find out more information.
