"Urban histories" - clothing collection inspired by the architecture of Chisinau and Bender

The architecture of Chisinau and Bender was a source of inspiration for the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at the "Ion Creanga" University in the capital and for those at the "Postoikin" College of Fine Arts in Bender, who formed a common front and created clothing collections, reports Moldova 1.

Models remind us of the specific style of the nineteenth century. Images of streets, balconies, and forged doors are printed on fabrics.

"Urban histories" - this is the title of the clothing collection made by the students. The students from the College of Fine Arts in Bender created the fabric, and the students from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at the "Ion Creanga" University made the models. Denis Guţan is one of those who worked on the collection. He says he has been passionate about fashion since he was a child.

The students used various fabrics to create the models. They were guided by professors from the faculty.

"50% of the fabric was created by hand, it is felt, a very well-known technique, which was made by colleagues from le Bender, from college, as well as the handkerchief technique. In general, some faces have been created," said Eugen Reabenchi, assistant professor.

The clothing collection was developed within the project "Culture of promoting cities in the Republic of Moldova through art and mythopoetics", funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Program.
