The National Choral Art Festival "Spring Dance" brought together dozens of amateur artists
In good or bad weather, they frequent rehearsals, participate in contests and competitions in our country and abroad. We are talking about amateur artists, people of different ages and professions, who participated in the National Festival of Choral Art "Spring Dance". The event took place at the National Museum of History of Moldova, Moldova 1 reports.
The oldest choir of amateur artists in the Republic of Moldova "Doina Codrului" from Lozova, Straseni, has been active for 114 years.
"I have been singing in the choir for more than 50 years. I do it out of responsibility for my parents and for my grandfather who participated from the very beginning, since 1908, when the choir was formed next to the church," says Maria Ambroci, performer.
The members of the "Doiniţa" choir from Sireţi village also bring together people who can't imagine their lives without a song.
"There are many occupations at home, it never ends, but here we have a promotion of the village culture", says Raisa Gherciu, a pensioner from Sireţi.
"We try to keep this choral art and music, in general, in our village to be a value, unfortunately I do not emphasise this value," says Adriana Tutunaru, a student from Sireţi.
"The great choral event "Spring Dance" is dedicated to the great composer and conductor Victor Creanga, children's choirs of different ages, youth choirs, mixed choirs, chamber choirs participate", said Elena Marian, director of the "Spring Dance" Festival.
The current edition of the "Spring Dance" Festival was attended by 20 choirs from all over the country.
