In Moldova, 13% of graduates of technical vocational education institutions open their own businesses
In Moldova, 13% of graduates of technical vocational education institutions end up opening their own businesses after they complete their studies. This is due to the improvement of study conditions and training according to the requirements of the labor market. The data were presented by the head of the science, education and extension service within the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MADRM), Rodica Resita, during the online event titled "Integrated development of technical and agricultural vocational education". Thus, thanks to several projects funded by the European Union, the modernization process began in 2011, when only a percentage of graduates of technical vocational education institutions were developing an activity in the agricultural field, Mesager reports.
"In DevRAM projects we contribute to the promotion of organic farming and modern agricultural standards among farmers and agricultural students, the introduction of new technologies, we have developed new school curricula, we have equipped schools with the necessary equipment for practice and we have supported students to start their businesses in agriculture”, said Otilia Sârbu, project manager at the Austrian agency.
"Namely, a professional, adequate training, directed towards the requirements of the labor market can ensure a future, it can propel you to the highest peaks of career success. It is not a shame to be a pupil, a student at an institution with an agricultural profile, on the contrary”, said Rodica Resita, the head of the Science, Education and Rural Extension Service within the MADRM.
