Double quotas for Moldovan agricultural products on the EU market. The decision will be approved today in Brussels

The 27 ministers of agriculture from the European Union are to sign today the decision to double the duty free access quotas on the European market for the last seven agricultural products from the Republic of Moldova subject to the tariff regime, reports Moldova 1.

The inclusion of the subject on the agenda of the EU Council in Brussels means that the decision is agreed. In practice, plums, table grapes, apples, tomatoes, garlic, cherries and Moldovan grape juice will be able to enter the EU area, without tariffs.

On July 5, the European Parliament adopted in an accelerated procedure and without changes, the legislation that provides that our country will be able to sell its agricultural products on European markets for a year. It is estimated that products worth about 55 million euros will be exported from our country. The Republic of Moldova benefits from an Association Agreement with the EU from 2014.
