Moldovagaz issued a new request to ANRE to increase the natural gas tariff

Moldovagaz has issued a new request to the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) to increase the tariff for natural gas, writes media.md. According to the quoted source, the company requests a 45% price increase for final consumers. Thus, if the new prices will be accepted by ANRE, then the citizens will take out of their pockets 23,57 lei for a thousand cubic metres, Radio Moldova reports.

Contacted by phone, the head of MoldovaGaz Vadim Ceban did not answer the call, but previously he specified for the national radio station that he would request the price increase, motivating by increasing the import price of natural gas.

TRM.MD recalls that the Republic of Moldova will pay in July $980 for one thousand cubic metres of natural gas, with $100 more, compared to June. Energy expert Victor Parlicov is of the opinion that ANRE will not accept a new increase in the natural gas tariff for final consumers.

He told Radio Moldova that the increase in the purchase price would not influence the final tariff paid by natural gas consumers. According to him, the revision of tariffs could take place no earlier than October.

TRM.MD recalls that after a request from MoldovaGaz, ANRE approved the new tariffs, which came into force on June 1, by which consumers pay 18,62 lei for one cubic metre of natural gas.
