Over 80 domestic producers exhibited their goods in the fair in the Great National Assembly Square
Bee products, grapes, wine, planting material, oils, natural juices, pies and even sardines - all can be purchased directly from local producers, at the "My Village" fair, held in the Great National Assembly Square. Buyers are expected every weekend, until the end of November, reports Moldova 1.
More than 80 local producers exhibited their products at the fair in the Grand National Assembly square. For many of them, fairs are the only way to sell their goods.
"We brought here a very large range of beekeeping products, we have buckwheat honey, we have rapeseed and lavender honey. This fair, for us, is an opportunity to sell our honey;
"I came up with bread made from pumpkin, corn, whole grains, rye, graham. This fair saves us, we as producers have little access to stores and other markets".
Buyers came to support domestic producers.
"I will take grapes, honey and wine. I am glad that the residents of the capital can purchase directly from the producer at a much better price";
"It's normal, in the center of Chisinau, there is transport";
"I found what I need and buy bread for diabetics."
The fair is organized under the patronage of the Government.
"It is organized with the aim of supporting small producers in order to offer the possibilities to sell their products. Only domestic producers participate here, they are from all regions of the Republic of Moldova, we have them from north to south", says Carolina Chiper, fair organizer.
The Government allocated around two million lei for the organization of this agricultural fair.
