Moldova and Ukraine sign the agreement on natural gas transit
The natural gas supply companies from Ukraine and Moldova signed the agreement on the supply and transit of natural gas starting with January 1, 2020. This was announced by "Moldovagaz" in a press release.
"The operator of the Gas Transport System of Ukraine," Moldovatransgaz "and SA" Moldovagaz" signed today, December 27, 2019, the Tripartite Operating Agreement for all interconnection points of the transport systems of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine (Alexeevka, Grebeniky, Causeni, Ananyiv, Limanskoe), which will ensure the supply and transit of natural gas starting with January 1, 2020 ”, reads the statement.
The parties also signed the Contracts regarding the provision of natural gas transportation services on the territory of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine for cross-border consumers of both states, which will enter into force on December 30, 2019, after these are approved by the Moldovagaz SA Supervisory Board.
