Poll: Which presidential candidate would get the most votes in the second round of polls

The independent candidate for the position of head of state, Igor Dodon, will surpass the PAS leader, Maia Sandu, in the second round of the presidential elections on November 15. These are the data of the latest poll conducted by the Association of Sociologists and Demographers of Moldova. The sociological investigation was carried out between November 3 and 7, 2020, Mesager reports.

When asked who they will vote for in the second round of the presidential election, 50.5% of respondents opted for independent candidate Igor Dodon and 49.5% said they would vote for PAS candidate Maia Sandu.

According to the same poll, five parties would enter parliament if early parliamentary elections were held next Sunday. Most mandates would get PSRM. Of the respondents who share certain political beliefs, most pleaded in favor of the Socialists - 41.5%, followed by the PAS- 23.1% of the vote, the "Şor" Party - 10.7%, the political party "Our Party" - 10.4%, and the "DA" Platform would enter the Parliament with six percent of the vote, the Democratic Party of Moldova would get only 3.3%, the PCRM - 2.2%, and the Pro Moldova Party - 1.1%.

The opinion poll was conducted between November 3 and 7, 2020 on a sample of 1,177 respondents from 81 localities. However, voters in the diaspora did not participate in the poll. The margin of error is 3%. The sponsors of the project are the South Branch of the Sociological Association of Ukraine and the Association of Sociologists and Demographers of the Republic of Moldova.
