20 songs will compete in the second stage of the national contest Eurovision - 2020

The Moldovan representative to Eurovision will be chosen from 20 singers who passed the pre-selection stage. The organizing committee announced the results of the live auditions held on February 1 in the studio of the Public Broadcaster "Teleradio - Moldova". 33 singers with 34 songs participated in the contest.

The 20 songs were selected by a jury. The members of the jury are:  composer Anatol Chiriac, conductor of the "Moldova" Choral Chapel Gabriela Tocari, conductor Andriano Marian,  president of the Union of Composers in Moldova Paul Gamurari and the conductor Mihai Agafiţă.

Therefore, attending the second stage of the national competition are:

Thus, they took the decision to organize the Grand Final, hosted by the public TV channel Moldova 1, involving the televoting as part of the jury. This is scheduled for February 29.

The live auditions were broadcast live by the public TV channel Moldova 2.

Two participants were excluded from the competition.

"Singer Liusea Znamenski was excluded from the contest, and the singer Diana Brescan did not attend the hearings. Under the art. 4.3.1 of the Organizing Regulations, they were excluded from the competition”, reads the statement of the Organizing Committee.

The 65th edition of the competition will take place in Rotterdam and will consist of 2 semifinals, organized on May 12 and 14, and the Grand Final will be organised on May 16, 2020. The music competition will be traditionally broadcast live by Moldova 1 TV and online on
