From Monday, August 2, the vaccination with Moderna starts for children over 12 years old
Vaccination for the 12-17 age group will start in Romania on Monday, August 2, and will be done with Moderna, according to the procedures already established for the other age categories, announced the coordinator of the vaccination campaign, doctor Valeriu Gheorghiţă. According to him, the platform for making appointments is to be optimized, and immunization will be done in two doses, at intervals of 28 days, in all centers where there is a vaccine from Moderna, writes digi24.
"From August 2, in Romania, it will be possible to vaccinate with the vaccine from the company Moderna for the age group 12-17 years. These days, the national programming platform is optimized, which will allow starting with August 1 for those who want," said the doctor Valeriu Gheorghiţă, on Tuesday, in the press conference.
Gheorghiţă specified that the procedures are similar to the population over 18 years old, respectively the administration of two doses at an interval of 28 days, and the consent of the adults is mandatory.
The immunization procedure will take place in centers where there is a vaccine from the Moderna company and in family doctors' offices, the CNCAV coordinator also specified.
