President of Estonia, Alar Karis, pays a working visit to the Republic of Moldova

The President of Estonia, Alar Karis, pays a working visit to the Republic of Moldova. The information was confirmed by the Presidency, which states that the Estonian head of state will arrive in our country on Thursday, March 17.

According to the quoted source, the official will have a meeting with President Maia Sandu, after which the two heads of state will hold a joint conference, starting at 12.20.

Alar Karis was elected President of Estonia in October 2021. His candidacy was proposed to the Estonian Parliament by the Reform Party and the Center Party, members of the ruling coalition.

A biologist by training, Alar Karis, before taking over the presidency of the country, was the director of the National Museum.

Estonia has been a member of the European Union since 2004.
