Swiss Embassy in Kyiv will be transferred to Chisinau
The employees of the Swiss Embassy in Kyiv will be transported to Chisinau, and the ambassador has already started his activity in the Republic of Moldova, Swiss President Ignazio Cassis declared in Chisinau on Tuesday.
In a conference during his visit, the Swiss president thanked the Chisinau authorities for their support of the closed Swiss Embassy in Kyiv. "I am grateful for the support given to our embassy in Ukraine. The employees of our Embassy in Kyiv will be located in Chisinau, starting today, Ambassador Claud Wild will be in Chisinau ", said Ignazio Cassis.
We remind that, since 2000, the Swiss Cooperation Office has been operating in Chisinau, which has the status of a diplomatic mission and represents the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation based in Kyiv, Ukraine. The Swiss Cooperation Office administers the technical assistance provided by the Switzerland to the Republic of Moldova. The office is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the Swiss Cooperation Program in Moldova, as well as coordinating activities with local and international partners.
