Spring session of Parliament starts today

Parliament's spring session starts today, 4 February. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu signed a provision to this end.

According to a press release, starting with today, the lawmakers will resume their work in Parliament, and on 6 February – a meeting of the Parliament’s Standing Bureau will be held, which will set the date of the first plenary meeting of the spring session.

According to the Parliament’s Regulation, the spring session begins in February and cannot go beyond the end of July. The autumn session starts in September and cannot be more than the end of December.

The parliamentary term of the 20th legislature expired on 30 November 2018. According to the provisions of the Constitution, the mandate of the parliament is prolonged until the legal meeting of the new composition.
