Lack of quorum in Parliament: The attempt to invest the government failed
PSRM and "Pentru Moldova" have left the Parliament's meeting room, saying that they will not participate in the examination procedure of the draft decision for approving the Government's Program of Activity and granting the vote of confidence to the new government team. Only 43 deputies remained in the hall. Thus, in the lack of a quorum, the investment attempt was declared unsuccessful.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, declared a one-hour break, and later the deputies will examine the other projects included in the agenda.
"The first item on the agenda is exhausted," said Zinaida Greceanii.
"Those consultations were mimicked and we do not think that the president had a sincere interest in identifying support for this government. We consider that this is a directed theater and we do not think that anyone has seriously examined the possibility of voting for this government," said the socialist deputy Vlad Bătîncea.
"We understand what is happening today is not true, people are dying, we do not have a vaccine, we do not have solutions to get out of the pandemic, social and economic crisis, but many times we are forced to participate in this show," mentioned the deputy of the "Şor" Party, Marina Tauber.
Pro Moldova leader Andrian Candu said it was unfortunate what was happening and today there was no opportunity to discuss a genuine government program. According to him, all these are political games, this being cynical in relation to the people.
