The European course of the Republic of Moldova, discussed by Maia Sandu with EU officials
The European course of our country, the opinion of the European Commission on the opportunity to offer the Republic of Moldova the status of candidate for accession to the European Union, but the efforts that our country must make to advance in its European course - are the topics addressed in telephone conversations of President Maia Sandu with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte.
In this context, the interlocutors spoke about the reform process in our country, including in the areas mentioned in the opinion of the Commission, which are essential for advancing the process of Eurointegration.
Maia Sandu mentioned the commitment of the Republic of Moldova to continue the reforms launched in the last year and mentioned that it relies on the support of the EU countries in the European Council on June 23 and 24.
