Vladimir Voronin asks for details about the Moldovans fighting in Ukraine against Russia. Igor Grosu's answer
The former president of the Republic of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin, requested clarifications regarding the status of Moldovan citizens fighting in Ukraine against Russia. Voronin insisted on finding out if they officially represent the Republic of Moldova. It is important that they return home healthy and victorious - was the answer of the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, reports Moldova 1.
"They have something to do with the organs, with you, because they were different in the press, yes our press, you know, can make mistakes many times. Whether they are from the Ministry of Defense or from I don't know who, we want to hear concretely by whom they are sent, if they are sent, if they are volunteers, legionnaires", said Vladimir Voronin.
"I want to wish them to return home healthy, victorious and defeat Ukraine. Indeed, the bodies must investigate very carefully those who fight on the side of the aggressor, let the boys return home, healthy and victorious", replied Igor Grosu.
More than 300 Moldovan volunteers have enlisted in the Ukrainian army, most of them veterans of the 1992 Nistru war.
