Drinking water for over two thousand families from Gangura, Ialoveni (VIDEO)
More than two thousand inhabitants of Gangura commune, Ialoveni district, can already enjoy tap water. The aqueduct, built during the Soviet period, was modernized in the locality. Two water towers have been renovated, which makes it possible to pump it from a depth of 230 meters, and for over about five years, more than 15 kilometers of aqueduct have been built, Mesager reports.
For almost five years, the Usatii family has been using water from the new aqueduct in the locality. Gheorghe Usatii, the owner of the house, claims that water is used both in food and for irrigation. He told us that he used to bring water and stock up, but that was expensive.
"There was no water in this neighborhood at all and there was still no water in the other. We had to start another project to supply the whole village with water ", says Gheorghe Usatii, a resident of Gangura commune.
For a cubic meter of water, people pay a price of 10 lei.
The mayor of the commune says that, according to the tests performed on the water, it meets all the norms and can be widely used. Local authorities plan to expand the aqueduct network this year.
"The plans for this year are to build two more km of aqueduct, that is, to renovate it. We did exactly the same thing in the neighboring locality from Gangura commune, Misovca locality. There we renovated the tower and built a km of aqueduct. In Alexandrovca, we built 600 meters of aqueduct last year ", said the mayor of Gangura commune, Marcel Bobeică.
More than three million lei were needed to repair the water supply system. In Gangura commune, other infrastructure projects were completed. At the entrance to the locality, a road bypassing the village was paved. Moreover, they invested in projects aimed at street lighting at night.
