African swine fever confirmed on a farm in Gagauzia

African swine fever was confirmed on a farm in Comrat, Radio Moldova reports citing gagauzinfo.md. According to the head of the Food Safety Agency of Gagauzia, Mihail Tukan, two pigs died in one of the farms in Comrat, and then several animals.

Evidence from specialists confirmed that the pigs died from African swine fever.

Also, the entrances and exits of the town will be monitored and disinfection filters will be installed.

During the quarantine period, the transportation of pigs is prohibited. pigs for personal use will be slaughtered with the permission of a veterinarian.

Pork can be sold, but this process will be strictly monitored by veterinarians.
