"Alexandru Donici" House-Museum to become branch of the National Museum of Literature "Mihail Kogalniceanu"
The "Alexandru Donici" House-Museum in Donici commune, Orhei district, will be transferred to the administration of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and will become a branch of the “Mihail Kogălniceanu” National Literary Museum, Radio Moldova reports with reference to IPN.
The "Alexandru Donici" Museum House has its headquarters in the mansion, which was owned by Alexandru Donici’s family, built in the second half of the 18th century and restored in the second half of the 20th century.
The institution has an exhibition potential of national importance, consisting of works of fine art, painting, graphics, drawing, decorative art, relevant documents about the life and work of the Donici family, ethnographic items, and furniture.
The museum is visited annually by about 18 thousand visitors, and specialists organize around 300 guides for locals and foreign tourists.
