An apartment in Soroca, engulfed in flames
An apartment in Soroca was engulfed in flames yesterday evening. Eight people, including five children, were evacuated by firefighters. According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), no one suffered.
According to IGSU, the fire broke out in a nine-storey apartment building in Soroca. The call to the 112 Service was received at 19:09. Arriving at the scene, firefighters determined that the fire burnt several material goods kept on the balcony of the house.
During the intervention, the rescuers evacuated from the neighboring apartments three adults and five children in order to avoid their intoxication with the combustion products.
According to the quoted source, no person suffered as a result of the fire.
The cause and circumstances of the fire are to be determined later by specialists.
