A young man was hit by the train in the Ungheni district
A 17-year-old was hit by the train in the Ungheni district, writes news.ungheni.org. He is hospitalized in serious condition.
The accident occurred last night around 18:40, near Petresti station. According to eyewitnesses, the young man was transported by an ambulance to the Emergency Unit of the Ungheni District Hospital.
The hospital's deputy director, Ghenadie Serbu, told IPN that the young man was hospitalized in the Resuscitation Section. He is conscious, but his condition is serious. The young man was brought to the hospital with a closed cranial-cerebral trauma, with the fracture of the skull and cerebral contusion.
Police Inspectorate General Mariana Beţivu said that the train was on the Balti-Ungheni route. It is not yet known why the boy was on the rails.
Police are investigating the case.
