Over 23,000 trees and shrubs will be planted at Orheiul Vechi
Over 23,000 trees and shrubs are planted on a 6-hectare area in Orheiul Vechi. The action was launched today by the Ecologist Movement in Moldova, in partnership with the Orheiul Vechi Natural Reservation, Radio Moldova reports.
A press release of the Ecological Movement writes that different species of trees and shrubs will be planted on the segment between the Trebujeni and Butuceni bridges.
Presidents of the Ecologist Movement in Moldova Alecu Renita said that the selected species will protect the area Old Orhei and the River Raut. The action aims to contribute to the improvement of microclimatic conditions and reduce soil erosion.
