Fines for drivers who park illegally
Although they are aware that they are parking illegally, some drivers cannot give up this practice. As the snow melts, many green spaces on the sidewalks are filled with mud after drivers leave their cars there. As a result, all the mud reaches the sidewalk and the road. Every day, the police distribute fines to undisciplined drivers, and some cars are taken to special parking lots, Moldova 1 reports.
Every day, the police are involved in sanctioning drivers who do not comply with the traffic regulations.
"The fine varies from 900 to 1,500 lei and four penalty points. Irregular parking includes not only parking on green spaces, but also parking on those parts of roads where it is prohibited. Respectively, the cars are evacuated and are transported to the special parking lot," said Pavel Apostol, head of the Road Records and Analysis section, National Inspectorate of Public Safety.
According to the National Inspectorate of Public Security, in Chisinau, about 50 cars are evacuated and taken to the paid parking lot every day.
