Employees will pay the full health insurance policy as of January 1
The medical health insurance policy will be paid by the employees as of January 1, under the latest legislative changes, Mesager reports.
According to the National Medical Insurance Company (NHIC), if until now the employee paid 4.5% for the policy, and the other half was paid by the company , starting with next year the employee will fully bear these expenses, ie nine percent of the income they declare and not 10.5 percent, as it was before.
Instead, the legislative changes provide that the employee will be exempted from the six percent contribution to the pension fund. This will be covered by the employer.
According to the NHIC, these measures aim to simplify the procedure for calculating and paying contributions and, respectively, will optimize the payment management process.
The executive director of the National Confederation of Employers, Vladislav Caminschi, said that the new changes were consulted for a long time, and the employers gave the green light to the proposals.
