The IMF will grant Moldova an emergency loan worth about $235 million
The Monetary Fund will grant an emergency credit worth about $235 million, which will be allocated for budget support, in the conditions of slowing economic growth. The statements were made by the Prime Minister Ion Chicu, after the working session with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, with the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Zinaida Greceanii and with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.
"We addressed the IMF in March to provide this Budget Support. This Friday it was approved. Also, on Friday, the agreement for the sovereign credit from the Russian Federation was signed, the loan will be committed with a 2% interest,” stated Ion Chicu.
