Fire on Hincesti road in the capital: A garage where electric scooters were stored was destroyed
A garage where electric scooters were stored was engulfed in flames on Saturday night. According to the first information, the fire broke out after the batteries of the scooters exploded.
The call to the 112 Service was recorded at 8:43 p.m., in a garage located on Hînceşti road in the capital. According to the first information, an explosion was heard, and later the garage was engulfed in fire.
Three teams of firefighters arrived at the scene, and determined that the flames had engulfed a garage where several electric scooters were kept, the batteries of which exploded. Rescuers managed to extinguish the fire at 21:02, therefore the fire did not spread.
At the same time, during the work carried out, the rescuers avoided the risk of an explosion, as a gas cylinder was evacuated from inside the affected garage.
According to the IGSU, as a result of the fire, no victims were reported, and the fire completely destroyed the garage with an area of 60 square metres and the material goods kept inside.
The cause and circumstances of the case are to be determined later by specialists.
