Japan will provide the Republic of Moldova with modern basic equipment
Two new modernization projects will be implemented in the health sector with the participation of the Government of Japan. Under the "Kusanone" program, healthcare centers in the town of Leova and the village of Bardar will be equipped with modern basic necessities. Thus, the citizens will benefit from high-performance medical services in their locality. "Citizens' access to modern equipment is what we want," said Health Minister Ala Nemerenco, Moldova 1 TV reports.
Japan has provided about $ 70,000 for the modernization of Leova and Bardar healthcare centers. The money was allocated for the purchase of high-performance equipment and to facilitate the work process of these institutions.
"Today's donation comes to expand our cooperation in the field of health and to strengthen the capacities of primary care institutions," said Katayama Yoshihiro, Japan's ambassador to Moldova.
"I am very happy and honored to announce that the Government of Japan is one of the most loyal partners of the Government of the Republic of Moldova. A country so small, but which we can benefit from a huge help ", says Ala Nemerenco, Minister of Health.
Grant recipients argue that a medical institution always has great needs, so it must take every opportunity to modernize it.
"It is a high-performance equipment that we intend to buy, which will be used in diagnosing pathologies and screening among the population, to exclude any malformations," says Vladimir Cernouţean, director of the Health Center, Leova .
"At the moment, the physiotherapy office inside the Bardar health center is equipped with outdated equipment, which really dates back to the 70's, of the last century. It is very important to modernize so that the population benefits from a treatment with a high-performance equipment ", says Irina Ursuleac, director of the Health Center, Bardar.
The "Kusanone" program was launched in the Republic of Moldova in 2008, and so far Japan has provided our country with non-reimbursable financing worth over 6 million US dollars.
