Ministry of Health has updated the list of countries included in the red zone
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS) has established the list of countries with high or low epidemiological risk of COVID-19 transmission, classified in the red and green areas. Ireland, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Belarus and Russia are in the red zone.
The list of countries in the red and green areas is updated every 7 days on Friday, and will take effect on Monday of the following week. The criterion based on the classification of countries / territories of high epidemiological risk (red zone) is the cumulative incidence rate of new cases of COVID-19 in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants.
Thus, people who come to the Republic of Moldova from countries included in the red zone are obliged to comply with the 14-day self-isolation regime. According to the Border Police, this regime can be interrupted after the 7th day if it performs a COVID-19 PCR test, and its result is negative.
